The theme
Repair is the flex
Artistic director Morad Montazami's theme is about the arts of repair and how you come back from a knock. The edition launched in Dakar on 24 September.
75 from about 900
Seventy-five made the cut
Nearly 900 applied. 54 artists made the international show and 21 the design section, from Senegal, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, the DRC and the diaspora.

Eleven from Senegal
Senegal's picks include Eva Diallo, Carla Gueye, Hamedine Kane, Cheikh Ndiaye and Serigne Ibrahima Dièye. The DR Congo is this year's guest of honour.
Doors open 19 November
Right after the Youth Olympics
Dak'Art opens on 19 November, days after the Youth Olympic Games wrap in Dakar on 13 November, and runs to 19 December.
